The Caregiver Support Program

Caregiver Support Program

The Caregiver Support Program aids caregivers of adults age 60 and older on a short-term basis. Assistance is limited to a three-month time period per calendar year with a cost ceiling for services.

The program can assist with a variety of services, including in-home respite, adult day care, caregiver counseling, institutional respite in a licensed facility, and durable medical equipment.

To enroll, caregivers must call Senior Options at (614) 525-6200. A case manager will complete a confidential application over the phone and determine eligibility. They will also assist the caregiver in determining what type of service is needed.

A contribution may be suggested for some services. The contribution amount is based solely on the income of the care recipient. Contributions are voluntary; participants will not be denied service due to inability to pay.

Caregiver Support is accessible through the Senior Options program, but the two programs have different qualifying criteria.

For more information, contact contact Senior Options at (614) 525-6200.
